Even if it does seem like someone implanted Kimizuki's shitty personality, from when they first met, into some idiot with blond hair...
Yuuichiro's going to bite back the urge to return the attitude, for now. So, in spite of the fact that he's still looking annoyed, he tries to take into consideration the situation. Right now's not the time to fight... He has to find Shinoa and the others; fighting some jerk isn't going to help with that. So, after clenching his teeth together for a moment, he finally responds in a... faintly less aggressive tone.
"All I know is that we're all stuck in some strange school without our weapons or abilities. None of us knows how we got here, either - apparently the bastards who brought us here haven't shown themselves," he said in a somewhat hurried manner, only to follow up with, "Look, I don't really care about getting a rundown of this place. Right now, all I need to know is whether or not you've seen my friends."
This is about to be probably an incredibly unhelpful answer, given that Bakugou doesn't really remember anybody's names... Then again, he's done a remarkably good job at accurately describing people so far.
"Alright, fine, who are you looking for?" he asks. "And what do they look like."
There are also plenty of people who he might know by appearance that he hasn't formally met, either. While not the most sociable of sorts, it'd be hard for him to not recognize the people in his homeroom.
He's already given a description to one person... so his tone might suggest he's got this practically memorized. Not only that, but his voice is suddenly way more serious, "There's Shinoa Hiragi... She has purple hair that's usually pulled back with a huge, purple bow. She's about," he starts while gesturing approximately seven inches shorter than himself, "this short.
"Yoichi Saotome has brown hair. He's about this," this time, he's gesturing to a couple inches shorter than himself, "-tall. Then there's Shiho Kimizuki... He wears glasses and has pink hair. He's super tall. Mitsuba Sangu has blond hair and is only slightly taller than Shinoa. She's pretty much always wearing pigtails.
"Guren Ichinose is super tall, too, and has black hair," he says as his tone dims, "He was injured really badly, so I'm most worried about him. And...if you do see any of them, tell them Yuuichiro is looking for them. They can look for me in 2-B."
Most of those descriptions all sound... well... "Oh, yeah, okay. The spineless-looking brown-haired guy is in my class, and the one pink-haired guy who acts like a total jackass, right?" Bakugou says. Not that he should be talking about people who act like total jackasses. "And I dunno about the purple-haired girl, but the other one is kinda like you're an idiot but then gets frustrated and punches shit."
The description of Guren is the most vague, but Bakugou does know that he's from the same world as the rest of the people mentioned, so he adds, "And the black-haired guy, does he kinda have a personality like haha I'm saying words that sound like they should mean something but they're all fucking bullshit and I prob'ly couldn't give a straight answer to save my damn life."
These are potentially not the most flattering descriptors ever, huh.
... [And just like that, Yuuichiro is finding it very difficult to ignore the urge to punch this guy - stranger, or not. He'd definitely done that on purpose. So, without missing a beat, he's responding with-]
You should watch where you stick your stupid feet. Some of us have more important people to deal with, than some bastard who's so bored he'll pick a fight with just anyone! [Yet, his hand is clenched into a fist, as though it's ready to swing on the guy...]
I don't know who the hell you think you are, but I'm not wasting my time on you!
[Nezumi offers the boy a charming, gentle smile, which is sort of weird for the situation. But even with a gentle expression, his words are still sharp as a knife.]
You say that, and yet you're still making a fuss. Must not be all that important, then.
[Nezumi casually shifts his weight so that he's in a better position. If this kid actually lashes out and tries to attack him, he'll be ready to dodge and defend himself. He doesn't have a knife, but Nezumi still knows how to keep himself out of trouble if need be.]
I apologized, didn't I? [He didn't.] I'm not sure what more you want from me.
[The urge to punch him rises that much more and he even takes a step closer. One fist raises a couple of inches, just itching to be sent straight at this fucker's face.] Don't you dare talk like you know anything about me! Of course they're important!
[He grits his teeth a moment.] If that's what you call an apology, you have a really shitty idea of what one even is. And I'd like it if you'd stop acting like such a bastard!
[Not that he thinks he will, at this rate.] The hell do you care if I'm new?
How mean. Do you talk to everyone with a tongue like that?
[Nezumi sees that fist rising, and he's not very nervous about it. If worse comes to worst, he has a knife to defend himself with.] Why don't you run along if it's so important? What are you looking for, your friends? I can't imagine that a lot of them are here of all places.
[He could be wrong, of course. But does Nezumi care? Never.]
I ask because you seem new. Is there another reason to wonder? You can't have been here for more than a few hours if you're this cross.
No, only bastards who do stupid stuff like pick fights with me outta nowhere!
[He's really the best at letting things like that go... In any case, he frowns at the next part.] Shows what you know - of course they're here! Why the hell wouldn't they be?!
[But, yeah... He'll be turning as though he's ready to take off any second.] Hmph... Well, what about you? If that's your way of deciding who's new, then you've clearly only been here a few minutes...
Shaking his head, an annoyed look flashed across his face, "Everyone I've come across hasn't been able to tell me anything."
Or they refused in favor of trying to pick a fight. Either or. In any case, he wasn't in the best of moods because of that. But...he was going to try and not take it out on someone who was actually trying to be helpful. Appearing to deflate the tiniest bit, he released an exasperated sigh.
"And I didn't stick around that classroom long enough," he started, gaze shifting to the side as his tone took a more concerned turn, "I was gonna head back after I finished...finding everyone."
Of course, there was nothing about his demeanor that really stood out as different, compared to most everyone else. Even those who have been here for the same amount of time as Zero, himself, still are at a loss.
"I'm not sure how many stayed in the class for very long, anyway." Which was true. Even though doing the opposite may have been more wise, as something could have been revealed. No use regretting that now, though.
Zero's gaze remained upon Yuu, even as he glanced away. Might as well begin. "This school is known as Inugami, and as you probably noticed, we're in Japan. There are a good deal of others who are like us; dragged here from our home worlds. The 'native' students-" almost "-all appear the same, and like the textbooks and teachers also are, we can't understand what they're saying, despite it sounding like Japanese."
He'll pause there before going into further detail about what has happened here so far.
During the pause, he muttered, "Yeah, I figured it was still Japan..."
Some of those things he'd noticed already; not being able to understand them and the fact that they all looked basically the same? Yeah, it hadn't taken him long. That was part of why he'd initially considered it being a dream. Also during the pause, he frowned at the floor a moment to think it over.
"If this is Japan... then I wonder if anything's similar to where I'm from, but-" hold on...
"You said... world," he started with a furrowed brow completing a look of disbelief; it had to be some kind of joke, "So, you're saying we're all from different ones?! How's that... even possible?" Seriously, where the hell was the punchline...
The incredulity was only met with a continued calm, though somber tone, and expression, alike. Even in Inugami Zero was no stranger in having to explain.
"I really couldn't say I know how it's done, but it's a fact. Different universes, different worlds, or dimensions. However you want to put it. People from different time periods, as well. We all are, yes, although sometimes people from the same place, too." A beat or so. "A good friend of mine arrived when I did."
He could explain right about here the fact that even apart from Inugami and his home, he had come from yet another world, but that would probably be too much to process. It was enough right now, as is.
"It includes how not everyone is human, as well. Others with powers, or even different species are present. Although, all of that is stripped, here, essentially rendering everyone human." EVen though such things are given back in time.
Wait, what...? Just like that, he's tossing out his own immediate response of: "What do you mean, weeks?!"
For a long while, he'll be quiet. His expression tenses as he turns his face to the side, appearing to be absorbing all of it the best he can. While Kimizuki's assuming this guy's from the same time period, he's actually assuming everyone arrived...together, for just a split second.
Right as he's about to ask about everyone else, he's being asked that question, "Huh...?" He blinks, tone turning even more confused, "Yeah... What about it?" But, more importantly- "Wait, where the hell's Guren?! He was stabbed, and then..."
Well, that's kind of all he remembers from before arriving here, so...
[When he's suddenly stopped, there's a frown. He turns to give Yoichi a curious look, brow furrowed. Said brow will quickly relaxed as a surprised expression gradually eases on to his face.]
So, you guys have...seriously been here for weeks? [Not that he thought Kimizuki was lying; it all just sounds so unbelievable... But even more unbelievable was the next part--] ...What?
[Green eyes widen as he stares at Yoichi in silence for just a moment.] Guren was stabbed, yeah, but... [He's going to appear to firmly study floor as he responds to the next part. He's somewhat talking to himself in this particular moment.] I don't remember taking more than one, much less too many... [His very quietly hisses out in an annoyed tone.] This is all so damn confusing...
[But to the more important part. His tone is far more serious than it was two seconds ago:] ...How was Guren about to die?
[ Yoichi nods in response to Yuu's first question, but his head doesn't come back up. It's easier to stare at the ground for a moment as he takes a deep breath. Only then does he look back up. He can at least meet Yuu's eyes when he tells him, if he doesn't know. ]
Guren-san was captured by three vampire nobles when we went to Nagoya. You really don't remember it, Yuu-kun?
Since...there's the matter of different worlds being possible, maybe that means different time periods are possible, too?? But, still, this is... Ugh, none of it's making any sense, at all, is it...?
On top of everything, is the matter of what Yoichi just said. Guren was captured by three vampire nobles. He was...about to be killed... and- augh. Teeth clenched, he tightens his hand into a fist as he stars hard at the floor.] No...I don't remember any of that...
[For a long while he's going to be quiet. What more can he say, right now? He's just found out something he literally can't do anything about... not from here. This frustrates him to no end... When he does finally speak, he's aiming to push for more information.
Did he tell him everything?] Is that...all? [A beat before he adds this as something akin to an afterthought:] How many did I wind up taking?
[ And that had been terrifying, seeing Yuu lying so still when he's normally full of life, ready to face anything head on. And there had been nothing Yoichi could do, no enemy to tackle, no one to shoot, no way to try to help Yuu when it was his own body failing him.
But focusing on that right now isn't going to help anyone. Yoichi swallows, painfully, and tries to shove the memory to the back of his mind. ]
... [His expression is frozen for maybe two full seconds...and then finally tenses.
He took three...and then...
...With how tense Yoichi seemed, did that mean he'd-...Well, there was no way, right?? No way he could have...survived something like that. He almost wanted to laugh, in spite of the fact that it wouldn't be one of humor. Yet, at the same time, he was angry. No way could he just up and die after everything.]
So...I died, then?
[His voice was a mixture of all of the feelings he was suddenly being swarmed with; disbelief, shock, bitterness...
And the answer to Yoichi's question wasn't going to be any easier to talk about, honestly.] Shinjuku... [His voice was almost numb.] ...A bloodsucker was gonna...kill Guren. All I could think was that I needed to get there, so I started running even faster. It was after that, everything went fuzzy... then, I woke up here...
[ Well. What Yuu remembers is kind of worrying in a big way, but first things first. Yoichi needs to reassure Yuu that he did not in act die. Because that would be terrible. ]
Oh! No, you didn't die. You, um. Kind of got possessed by Asuramaru? But you were okay! Kind of...
[ He's not sure demon possession qualifies as okay, but it isn't lying on the ground with your organs leaking out of you, right? ]
His expression lightens. Hey, getting possessed is definitely nowhere near as bad as dying. Possession, he can come back from. Dying... not so much. There's suddenly a brief laugh erupting as he lets the relief hit.] Well, hey... that's good, right?! That's way better than dying! So, I just have to regain control of my body!
[ It's not like Yoichi particularly remembers how he got control of himself back from Gekkouin, considering he'd kind of been lost in his subconscious for most of it, but it's definitely doable. And not death! Always a plus! ]
But, um... Yuu-kun, are you saying the last thing you remember is the fight at Shinjuku? When, um, we first ran into Mika-kun?
[And clearly only the coolest of people get possessed and break out of it, right?
He's ready to nod. To confirm that this is all he remembers...when...] ...What...did you say?
[His eyes widen, expression softening in surprise.] Yoichi, what are you saying...? [One unsteady breath slips out. Clearly, he misheard.] Mika's... The last time I saw him, he was-... It was years ago, and...
[ Yoichi's eyes go wide. That's... a big thing not to remember, considering how they'd all agreed to help Yuu rescue Mika in the aftermath.
But that also means that Yuu doesn't even know... Yoichi swallows. Oh, he wishes he had everyone else here to help him tell Yuu everything. ]
But that means... Um. Yuu-kun, you should listen to everything I have to say before you go rushing off after anything, okay? There's a lot of important things I need to tell you.
[He just appears stunned... It's after a long pause than he shakes his head. What the hell... is going on? Yet, that's not all he's feeling in this exact moment. If Yoichi's met Mika, then...]
He's...alive...? [He's happy of course. But also still very confused. Yoichi's next words barely register... Not until the very last sentence, anyway. And, in all honesty, just knowing Mika's alive doesn't tell him that he's here. Even Shinoa isn't here, and she'd been with them the last he remembered.]
... [If Yoichi is willing to tell him everything... he'll listen. He need to know what's even going on, here. How are there things he doesn't remember? How does Yoichi know Mika's alive, when he hadn't...] All right... I'll listen. Just... I need you to tell me how you remember seeing Mika, when I...didn't...
[Not to say that's all he wants to know - it's just the most confusing.]
Of course! [ Of course he'll tell Yuu all about Mika. He knows just how important Mika is to him, and he knows Yuu well enough to realize that Yuu won't listen to anything else until he's heard that part. ] We met Mika-kun in Shinjuku, when we were going to back up Guren-san's squad. Um. Mika-kun's a vampire now, but he still seemed to care about you a lot.
[ Sure, he'd been perfectly willing to murder everyone else on their squad, but the important part is how he feels about Yuu, right? ]
He attacked us, but he stopped one of the other vampires from hurting you. And, um, after the battle, we all agreed we'd help you save him. [ He smiles, tentatively. ] Since we're family, right?
[In spite of the flurry of emotions, there is definitely comfort here.
His eyes widen a bit as Mikaela's head lowers onto his shoulder. Green eyes shift in the blond's general direction, and then he's looking downward as his brow knits together a bit. He doesn't know where it comes from, entirely, but there's a brief desire to rest a hand on Mika's head. Maybe it's because he'd done the same to him, and something telling him he should return that gesture...
That wording is definitely strange, even if Yuuichiro doesn't quire notice it right away. Once it does hit, however, his expression tenses a lot. His next exhale is unsteady as his fingertips harshly dig into Mika's back. He tries swallowing, but it doesn't quite...work. One word keeps repeating itself, over and over: let... let... The other hidden meaning of the words hadn't managed to sink in, yet.
He's so focused on this part, for the time being.] What do you mean... let...? [Had he been like-...him?] You...wanted to die...
[It sounds more like an observation - an assumption. Definitely not a happy one, of course. If anything, his tone holds disappointment. Not just in Mika... but in himself. The blond isn't the only one who's ever felt that way, if he's correct in what he's assuming. There had been a time when he'd considered...giving up. He'd felt so alone... hopeless... worthless. So, he has no idea where he'd be right now, if not for Guren. Though, at the same time, he can't see himself taking his own life... Right now, it just seems completely wrong... Selfish.]
I'm glad she didn't let you die. [His tone is firm; he definitely means it.] But- [Suddenly, he's moving to step back a couple of feet.] Why? I can't see her being the type to give a shit about kids. Especially ones who tried...escaping.
[The last word is forced. It doesn't exactly bring up fond memories - for either of them, surely.]
[Mika had known that he wanted to see Yuu again, to be around him but this is more than that. It's a need. He hasn't felt like himself in such a long time but it was impossible to hide what he was feeling when he was with the other boy.
For a moment it was if he'd forgotten what it felt like to be home and Yuu was reminding him simply by being here. And maybe he had. All he had for the last few years were his memories and they were filled by the pain of his family's loss.
Just being with Yuu was enough to give him strength - exactly like the days when they had a dozen other kids depending on them. The thought almost brings a smile to his face but it's instantly torn away by the other's words.
A moment of silence before he can find the words to reply to that.] How could I want to live when my option was to become a vampire? I couldn't... be like them. [Couldn't drink the blood of children like our younger siblings. Words he doesn't say but probably doesn't need to.] They took so much from us and I didn't want them to take even more. I thought it would be better to die.
[There was so much they didn't know back then. All the lies the vampires told them about the world outside the underground city. But now Mika has had his humanity stolen away along with his smile. All this time he's been blaming himself for what happened - not anyone else. It was his plan and he should have known that it would be a trap, or been stronger to protect them all. There were many times Mika though it would have been better to die that day but first...
First he has to save Yuu. If that's the last thing he ever does, he'd be okay with his life ending.
Yuu is stepping away and it's a struggle to not miss his presence being so close. He lifts his head while momentarily getting caught on those first words.] Even though I'm like this now?
[Mika's known how his friend has hated vampires from the very start, has stopped him from getting himself in serious trouble more than once with them. Even though they've been apart, he can't imagine Yuu ever not hating vampires.
But when he starts questioning why, Mika looks at him then.] She was furious with Ferid when she learned what he'd done. Krul referred to us as her Seraphs. It wasn't until recently that I discovered that she was supposed to have killed all of us the day the world ended - by order of the vampire council.
[He doesn't make mention that she probably wouldn't have cared if the others died. But his eyes narrow a little.] I'm not the only one she wants, Yuu. She's been searching for you ever since you got away.
[And holding on to Mika makes it easier to get Yuu.]
[In the end, a part of Yuuichiro can't say with total certainty that he wouldn't have wanted the same thing - to die, rather than become one of them.
So, he...remains quiet for a moment. It's not until he hears the next thing that his teeth briefly clench together.] You really...think that's enough to have me turn my back on my family, Mika? [He lowers his gaze a moment.] What if it was me...? Would you...wanna kill me, if I was the vampire?
[Because he doesn't see Mika being the type; he's making a point, here.] I... still hate vampires, but that's not what you are to me. You're Mika - that's more... [Then, he's looking the blond right in the eyes.] I'd never turn my back on you! [His voice softens a little, shifting into something not quite a whisper.] You're all right... and that's more than enough for me.
[It's more than enough for the one who'd gone through the process of mourning his entire family. He'd already let him go, which is probably a big part of the reason he's hellbent on not letting this one go, now. Even now, the image of the last time he saw him alive is trying to replay in his mind. He fights to shove that aside as he listens to the other speak, briefly letting an appreciate for even being able to hear his voice hit him. But...then...
The rest of what's said has his face tensing. She did it...to use him. His gaze darkens as he lowers it. Then, he's going to be snatching it back up to Mika. The very last part has him looking confused. It has the entirety of it all finally sinking in...
All of..."us".]
Huh...? What does... that mean? What does she want with...us? What the hell's a Seraph? [And this isn't even the start of the questions he wants to ask - he'll get to the rest eventually...]
[Given the situation back then, it had been the better option. Now though, now he's determined to save Yuu from the humans. After that... after isn't all that important. He just needs Yuu to be safe - to be aware of the danger he's in if he stays with those people.
There's a long, hesitant pause at Yuu's words. They'd always been different - it was Yuu who's really despised and wanted to kill the vampires.] I was scared to face you again, like this. [If he hates what he is, how can he expect Yuu to accept him?] I became something you hated.
[Suddenly he feels very small. Like a child. Sometimes Yuu has that effect on him. He's very aware of the fact that Yuu's lived his life thinking that he'd died right alongside the rest of their siblings and their reunion is very emotional for both of them - even though he's already seen Yuu. This is the first time they've been actually able to talk without the distractions of other people or anything. A lot of old, painful feelings are rising to the surface again. It's all so bittersweet.
Why do vampires do anything? They're always using others - human and vampire alike. As he's found out, humans aren't much better.
A shake of his head. Mika can't tell him everything just yet but there is something he can say.]
Nothing good knowing Krul. It's also why we were brought to Hyakuya Orphanage in the first place. They were planning to experiment on us. [He doesn't say that they already were lab rats. Yuu might not remember anything about that part of their lives.]
Well, he definitely doesn't like it. Correction: he doesn't like him, even if he can't quite put his finger on the reason as to why. Maybe it's that...almost taunting air. Like he's trying to mess with his head, or something.]
Not really. I've got no problem remembering anyone worth my time. [The tone's practically deadpan... until his expression shifts to one more serious.] Seriously, though... Who the hell are you?
[Yuu should pay close attention to those feelings.
The denseness of this other is really entertaining. Then again he was in some kind of state the last time he saw the kid. He was attacking everyone even teammates...humans are really something.]
Ooh? [He just starts to laugh.] I was at Shinjuku, livestock.
[It's somewhere between the laugh and the word 'livestock' that his heart begins racing...
...his body becomes tense...
...and his desire to kill this guy rears its head.]
...You... [bastard... Yet, he doesn't even bother finishing. Without warning, he's lunging forward to punch the person with every ounce of strength and speed that he currently possesses.
Sure, he doesn't have a weapon but who needs one when you have VENGEANCE. There aren't any fangs... and he looks human, but the eyes... and what he just called him...]
[Now this one was one with some fight in him. Lacus can't help but to find that somewhat entertaining. Even if his actions are more than foolish.
He might not have his powers or his fangs, but he still knows how to fight.
He was a City Guard and that meant keeping on your toes, there were dangerous things out there.
Lacus watches the other fling the fist at him, quick enough he moves his head and tries grabs his arm. Gripping it tightly and ready to try and break that joint if needed.]
His eyes widen as his arm is grabbed - he braces himself for retaliation. Of course, he's not stopping there! Oh, hell no. He might be without a weapon, but he has every bit of intention of hurting him as much as possible.
So, he's narrowing his eyes and immediately bringing up his knee. With every bit of desire to slam it into the bastard's stomach.] Shut the hell up!
Twisting the limb down he puts strain on the elbow joint but not enough to break it...yet. Still this boy was quick and there was a great deal of rage in his actions. What a funny little thing.
Still laughing he does take the knee to a degree though able to brace himself for it with his free hand. The force does have him staggering a little bit...persistent little shit.]
You're going to break your arm if you aren't careful.
He was instantly fighting to get out of that grip, only to find...even more pain in that arm being the result. Gritting his teeth for the sake of not showing any signs of weakness to this... bastard, he narrows his eyes.]
You say that like you're not the one holding it!
[He gives one more twist of his body in an effort to get free. Green eyes rest on red for moment - yeah, those eyes are clearly not those of a human. Not to mention, the overall strength difference... It's clearly not the strength of a vampire, but... this place seems to have everyone on the same level... mostly.]
Let go, damn it! [Yet another twist of his form as he sends a kick to his knee. Just one slack in that hold and he'd snatch free... even if he winds up hurting himself a little.]
Lacus remained holding his grip on the human, what an idiot. If he continues to struggle he will end up broken and he could careless...except it might cause some problems for him with him just arriving and all.]
Yeah, because you're an idiot that keeps trying to fight me.
[They were the furthest from human, even if the rest of him was for the moment. However, he does finally decide to let the human go. With a hard shove he attempts to knock the other to the ground, before that kick caught him. All too fast he moves backwards.]
You're probably one of the dumbest humans I've met.
Eventually, it has him gritting his teeth and falling to that tense stillness that implies he'd stab him if he could. Right in the damn throat, in an effort to remove his head. He can handle pain, but it's starting to reach that threshold - if only because an arm is...clearly not supposed to go in that direction.
An angry growl is the only response to those initial words, before he's being shoved. He almost manages to catch himself, though he's landing on the wrong side to actually do that. A pained grunt slips out as the arm that was being held in place for so long slams into the floor.
If looks could kill, Lacus would be ashes right now.] You're dead. Just you wait, you filthy bloodsucker!
[He's on his feet, the glare never wavering. Damn it, why does he have to be so weak right now!]
My, such anger for one little boy. Lacus could see the other and how tense he was. His hatred for the vampires was all too real and hilarious. Though he knows this was one of the experiments of humans too. Lacus did remember that well but here they were all human for now. So there was little threat from the little human at the moment at least.
Nearly laughing Lacus watches him hit the ground and then that grunt of pain. He was glad he caused a little pain it might teach him his place or cause him to do more stupid things, the latter might prove entertaining.]
I am? Funny I don't feel dead, I feel very much alive.
[He was mocking him now.] I don't have time for a weak little boy, run along.
The teenager's going to frown at everything being brushed aside for later.] Hey, don't ignore my question!
[But, then... he will begrudgingly lower his shoulders and avert his gaze.] I've talked to Kimizuki and Yoichi... [He's quiet for a moment.] They said we're all here except for Shinoa...
[Frustration is in his tone; is she okay? Shinoa's tough, though, and should be able to handle herself... And maybe that's why she isn't there - because she managed to kick their kidnapper's ass, or something.
After a pause, he shakes his head.] I haven't learned much. Just that nobody knows how we got here.
[ And for that, Guren specifically ignores his question. And his proclaims. ]
This school is dangerous. Even more so than your last one. [ With the shrines and laboratories and vampires escapees. ] Most of the people here have never heard of us. Many of them don't even believe in vampires. You need to tread lightly.
[Oh... Well, that doesn't do much to reassure him in terms of getting answers. With a sigh, he does nothing to hide his frustration and annoyance. There's a brief urge to just...punch the wall.
...Actually, that's exactly what he's going to do.] They can't just... kidnap us, damn it! Whoever they are, they're not getting away with this!!!
[His hand stings, but he ignores it. The top layer of his knuckles is now scraped away, but it doesn't look like it was enough to do any kind of damage aside from bruised knuckles by tomorrow.]
...Thanks anyway, though. [He offers the person a sideways glance before looking to the floor, thoughts racing on what he should start with.]
[Well, that catches him by surprise. He jerks back slightly at the sound, turning his head towards the direction of his hand, wondering about the damage immediately.
Doesn't seem like much, at least nothing against the walls. That was pretty loud though, so he wonders if it'll bruise?]
Don't worry about it. Though, if you have other questions, I'd be happy to answer to the best of my ability...?
[He trails off at the end, silently asking for a name. Just who are you, angry one?]

Right now, all I need to know is whether or not you've seen my friends."
no subject
"Alright, fine, who are you looking for?" he asks. "And what do they look like."
There are also plenty of people who he might know by appearance that he hasn't formally met, either. While not the most sociable of sorts, it'd be hard for him to not recognize the people in his homeroom.
no subject
They can look for me in 2-B."
no subject
The description of Guren is the most vague, but Bakugou does know that he's from the same world as the rest of the people mentioned, so he adds, "And the black-haired guy, does he kinda have a personality like haha I'm saying words that sound like they should mean something but they're all fucking bullshit and I prob'ly couldn't give a straight answer to save my damn life."
These are potentially not the most flattering descriptors ever, huh.
Nezumi
I don't know who the hell you think you are, but I'm not wasting my time on you!
no subject
You say that, and yet you're still making a fuss. Must not be all that important, then.
[Nezumi casually shifts his weight so that he's in a better position. If this kid actually lashes out and tries to attack him, he'll be ready to dodge and defend himself. He doesn't have a knife, but Nezumi still knows how to keep himself out of trouble if need be.]
I apologized, didn't I? [He didn't.] I'm not sure what more you want from me.
Are you new?
no subject
[The urge to punch him rises that much more and he even takes a step closer. One fist raises a couple of inches, just itching to be sent straight at this fucker's face.] Don't you dare talk like you know anything about me! Of course they're important!
[He grits his teeth a moment.] If that's what you call an apology, you have a really shitty idea of what one even is. And I'd like it if you'd stop acting like such a bastard!
[Not that he thinks he will, at this rate.] The hell do you care if I'm new?
no subject
[Nezumi sees that fist rising, and he's not very nervous about it. If worse comes to worst, he has a knife to defend himself with.] Why don't you run along if it's so important? What are you looking for, your friends? I can't imagine that a lot of them are here of all places.
[He could be wrong, of course. But does Nezumi care? Never.]
I ask because you seem new. Is there another reason to wonder? You can't have been here for more than a few hours if you're this cross.
no subject
[He's really the best at letting things like that go... In any case, he frowns at the next part.] Shows what you know - of course they're here! Why the hell wouldn't they be?!
[But, yeah... He'll be turning as though he's ready to take off any second.] Hmph... Well, what about you? If that's your way of deciding who's new, then you've clearly only been here a few minutes...
Zero
Shaking his head, an annoyed look flashed across his face, "Everyone I've come across hasn't been able to tell me anything."
Or they refused in favor of trying to pick a fight. Either or. In any case, he wasn't in the best of moods because of that. But...he was going to try and not take it out on someone who was actually trying to be helpful. Appearing to deflate the tiniest bit, he released an exasperated sigh.
"And I didn't stick around that classroom long enough," he started, gaze shifting to the side as his tone took a more concerned turn, "I was gonna head back after I finished...finding everyone."
no subject
He'll pause there before going into further detail about what has happened here so far.
no subject
Some of those things he'd noticed already; not being able to understand them and the fact that they all looked basically the same? Yeah, it hadn't taken him long. That was part of why he'd initially considered it being a dream. Also during the pause, he frowned at the floor a moment to think it over.
"If this is Japan... then I wonder if anything's similar to where I'm from, but-" hold on...
"You said... world," he started with a furrowed brow completing a look of disbelief; it had to be some kind of joke, "So, you're saying we're all from different ones?! How's that... even possible?" Seriously, where the hell was the punchline...
no subject
Kimizuki
Yoichi
His tone is far more serious than it was two seconds ago:] ...How was Guren about to die?
no subject
Guren-san was captured by three vampire nobles when we went to Nagoya. You really don't remember it, Yuu-kun?
no subject
[A beat before he adds this as something akin to an afterthought:] How many did I wind up taking?
no subject
[ And that had been terrifying, seeing Yuu lying so still when he's normally full of life, ready to face anything head on. And there had been nothing Yoichi could do, no enemy to tackle, no one to shoot, no way to try to help Yuu when it was his own body failing him.
But focusing on that right now isn't going to help anyone. Yoichi swallows, painfully, and tries to shove the memory to the back of his mind. ]
Yuu-kun, what's the last thing you remember?
no subject
It was after that, everything went fuzzy... then, I woke up here...
no subject
Oh! No, you didn't die. You, um. Kind of got possessed by Asuramaru? But you were okay! Kind of...
[ He's not sure demon possession qualifies as okay, but it isn't lying on the ground with your organs leaking out of you, right? ]
no subject
His expression lightens. Hey, getting possessed is definitely nowhere near as bad as dying. Possession, he can come back from. Dying... not so much. There's suddenly a brief laugh erupting as he lets the relief hit.] Well, hey... that's good, right?! That's way better than dying! So, I just have to regain control of my body!
[Like Yoichi did!]
no subject
Right! Um. I think?
[ It's not like Yoichi particularly remembers how he got control of himself back from Gekkouin, considering he'd kind of been lost in his subconscious for most of it, but it's definitely doable. And not death! Always a plus! ]
But, um... Yuu-kun, are you saying the last thing you remember is the fight at Shinjuku? When, um, we first ran into Mika-kun?
no subject
He's ready to nod. To confirm that this is all he remembers...when...] ...What...did you say?
[His eyes widen, expression softening in surprise.] Yoichi, what are you saying...? [One unsteady breath slips out. Clearly, he misheard.] Mika's... The last time I saw him, he was-... It was years ago, and...
[Words are hard.]
no subject
[ Yoichi's eyes go wide. That's... a big thing not to remember, considering how they'd all agreed to help Yuu rescue Mika in the aftermath.
But that also means that Yuu doesn't even know... Yoichi swallows. Oh, he wishes he had everyone else here to help him tell Yuu everything. ]
But that means... Um. Yuu-kun, you should listen to everything I have to say before you go rushing off after anything, okay? There's a lot of important things I need to tell you.
no subject
[Not to say that's all he wants to know - it's just the most confusing.]
no subject
[ Sure, he'd been perfectly willing to murder everyone else on their squad, but the important part is how he feels about Yuu, right? ]
He attacked us, but he stopped one of the other vampires from hurting you. And, um, after the battle, we all agreed we'd help you save him. [ He smiles, tentatively. ] Since we're family, right?
Mika
It doesn't exactly bring up fond memories - for either of them, surely.]
no subject
[And holding on to Mika makes it easier to get Yuu.]
no subject
[And this isn't even the start of the questions he wants to ask - he'll get to the rest eventually...]
no subject
Lacus
[The feeling he's getting from this guy...
Who the hell are you?
no subject
The denseness of this other is really entertaining. Then again he was in some kind of state the last time he saw the kid. He was attacking everyone even teammates...humans are really something.]
Ooh? [He just starts to laugh.] I was at Shinjuku, livestock.
no subject
...his body becomes tense...
...and his desire to kill this guy rears its head.]
...You... [bastard... Yet, he doesn't even bother finishing. Without warning, he's lunging forward to punch the person with every ounce of strength and speed that he currently possesses.
Sure, he doesn't have a weapon but who needs one when you have VENGEANCE.There aren't any fangs... and he looks human, but the eyes... and what he just called him...]no subject
My, my what a temper!
no subject
His eyes widen as his arm is grabbed - he braces himself for retaliation. Of course, he's not stopping there! Oh, hell no. He might be without a weapon, but he has every bit of intention of hurting him as much as possible.
So, he's narrowing his eyes and immediately bringing up his knee. With every bit of desire to slam it into the bastard's stomach.] Shut the hell up!
no subject
Twisting the limb down he puts strain on the elbow joint but not enough to break it...yet. Still this boy was quick and there was a great deal of rage in his actions. What a funny little thing.
Still laughing he does take the knee to a degree though able to brace himself for it with his free hand. The force does have him staggering a little bit...persistent little shit.]
You're going to break your arm if you aren't careful.
no subject
Just one slack in that hold and he'd snatch free... even if he winds up hurting himself a little.]
no subject
Lacus remained holding his grip on the human, what an idiot. If he continues to struggle he will end up broken and he could careless...except it might cause some problems for him with him just arriving and all.]
Yeah, because you're an idiot that keeps trying to fight me.
[They were the furthest from human, even if the rest of him was for the moment. However, he does finally decide to let the human go. With a hard shove he attempts to knock the other to the ground, before that kick caught him. All too fast he moves backwards.]
You're probably one of the dumbest humans I've met.
no subject
LEGIT...Eventually, it has him gritting his teeth and falling to that tense stillness that implies he'd stab him if he could.
Damn it, why does he have to be so weak right now!]
no subject
Yuu...My, such anger for one little boy.
Guren
[Well, hey, there's always a way to remedy this~
The teenager's going to frown at everything being brushed aside for later.] Hey, don't ignore my question!
Just that nobody knows how we got here.
no subject
This school is dangerous. Even more so than your last one. [ With the shrines and laboratories and vampires escapees. ] Most of the people here have never heard of us. Many of them don't even believe in vampires. You need to tread lightly.
Nao
[He offers the person a sideways glance before looking to the floor, thoughts racing on what he should start with.]
no subject
Doesn't seem like much, at least nothing against the walls. That was pretty loud though, so he wonders if it'll bruise?]
Don't worry about it. Though, if you have other questions, I'd be happy to answer to the best of my ability...?
[He trails off at the end, silently asking for a name. Just who are you, angry one?]
